Tsalka Canyon Georgia: Waterfalls, Trails and the Glass Bridge
Tsalka (Dashbashi) Canyon stretches through volcanic terrain near the village of Dashbashi. The landscape changes quickly: green slopes, rock walls and falling water appear along the route.
What the Walk Is Like
The visitor route is about 1.8 kilometres and usually takes around an hour at an easy pace. Wear shoes with grip, take water and allow extra time for photographs.
The Glass Bridge
The bridge is the viewpoint highlight. Pause for the wide view over the canyon, then continue at your own pace. If heights are uncomfortable, the surrounding trails and waterfalls still make the visit worthwhile.
When to Go
Summer is comfortable for walking, while winter can bring a frozen waterfall and a very different atmosphere. Weather changes quickly in the gorge, so check conditions before leaving and carry an extra layer.
Getting There
Tsalka is around 88 kilometres from Tbilisi. The canyon is close to Dashbashi village, and the final approach is short. Plan your return before sunset and keep your route saved offline.
